Baltic Index extends strong run on strengthening Capesize segment

The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index increased d-o-d by 14 points to 2,309 on 25 Nov’25. The index inched up on firm capesize demand – driven by active iron ore chartering and tight tonnage – lifted overall sentiment, while steady grain and coal inquiry supported panamax rates.

  • Capesize: The BCI increased 30 points to 3,730.
  • Panamax: The BPI gained 13 points to 1,957.
  • Supramax: The BSI inched down by 1 points at 1,431.
