The Baltic Dry Index fell 3.07% (51 points) d-o-d to 1,608 on 13 Jan’26 due to soft bulk demand and ample vessel supply. The drop was led by weaker Capesize iron ore and coal trade, while Panamax and Supramax rates eased on cautious chartering and seasonal demand softness.
- Capesize: BCI declined 4.97% (128 points) to 2,446.
- Panamax: BPI fell 0.67% (9 points) to 1,331.
