The Baltic Dry Index decreased by 0.19% (4 points) d-o-d to 2,117 on 26 Feb’26. The marginal decline is primarily driven by weakness in the Capesize segment, which outweighed gains in the smaller vessel classes.
- Capesize: BCI dipped by 2.5% (77 points) to 3,051.
- Panamax: BPI rose 1.4% (26 points) to 1,916.
- Supramax: BSI increased 3.5% (44 points) to 1,299.
