BALCO, a Vedanta Group subsidiary, has invited bids for tender cum auction for sale of MS/SS/aluminium & other scraps in Korba, Chhattisgarh.
One of the leading aluminium producers in Chhattisgarh state, BALCO, has put forward an auction in order to sell various scrap items, including MS, SS, & aluminium. The company intends to sell these items through tender cum e-auction on 10 and 11 Mar’16.
All material will be available in different lots at BALCO’s plant located in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The material will be available strictly on ‘As is Where is’ and ‘No Complaint’ basis. It mainly includes various workshop machinery, mixed MS scrap, SS scrap, CI scrap, mechanical items, aluminium dross and other materials.
Material offered
1. Aluminum scrap: Approx 3,039 MT
2. MS scrap items: Approx 550 MT
3. SS scrap: 39 MT
4. Other: 31,379 MT
Important dates & time
1. Inspection date: between 4-10 Mar’16
2. Tender (bid) submission due date: 17.00 hrs IST on 10 Mar’16
3. Online auction date: 10.30 hrs IST on 11 Mar’16
Note: BALCO had last conducted its tender cum e-auction for sale of approx 1,672 MT MS scrap, 1,136 MT aluminium scrap and 32 MT SS scrap on 12 Dec’15.

General conditions
1. Material will be sold at fixed price by the seller. Also, the seller is not bound to accept the highest offer and reserves the right to reject any conditional offers.
2. Buyers will be responsible for loading and lifting of the material.
3. Material will be disposed off in ‘As is where is’, ‘No complaint basis’, and ‘Wet, dry or rusty’ conditions.
4. All taxes such as excise, sales tax, TCS or any other taxes will be charged extra at the time of delivery. Offered rate shall be exclusive of all taxes.
5. Buyers shall not be allowed to resell any lot or part of goods.
6. Purchasers for which CST is applicable will have to submit C-form at the time of lifting of material; otherwise full sales tax will be charged.
