BALCO Offers 1,225 MT MS Scrap though Auction on 21 Aug’15

BALCO, a Vedanta Group subsidiary, has invited bids for tender cum auction for sale of MS/SS/ferrous scrap and coke dust in Korba, Chhattisgarh.

One of the leading aluminium producers in Chhattisgarh state, BALCO, has put forward an auction in order to sell various MS scrap items, aluminium items and coke dust. The company intends to sell these items through tender cum e-auction on 20 and 21 Aug’15.

All material will be available in different lots at BALCO’s plant located in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The material will be available strictly on ‘As is Where is’ and ‘No Complaint’ basis. It mainly includes various workshop machinery, mixed MS scrap, SS scrap, CP coke dust, mechanical items, aluminium dross and other materials.

Material offered

1. Scrap items: Approx 1,225 MT
2. Aluminum items: Approx 1,090 MT
3. CP coke dust: 500 MT

Important Time & Dates

1. Inspection date: Between 13-20 Aug’15
2. Tender (Bid) submission due date: 17.00 hrs IST on 20 Aug’15
3. Online auction date: 10.30 hrs IST onwards on 21 Aug’15

Note: BALCO had last conducted its tender cum e-auction for sale of approx 1,300 MT scrap and 1,050 MT aluminium items and 600 MT Coke dust scrap on 30 June’15.

General Conditions:

1. Material will be sold at fixed price by the seller. Also, the seller is not bound to accept the highest offer and reserves the right to reject any conditional offers.
2. Buyers will be responsible for loading and lifting of the material.
3. Material will be disposed off in ‘As is where is’, ‘No Complaint basis’, and ‘Wet, Dry or Rusty’ conditions.
4. All taxes such as excise, sales tax, TCS or any other taxes will be charged extra at the time of delivery. Offered rate shall be exclusive of all taxes.
5. Buyers shall not be allowed to resell any lot or part of goods.
6. Purchasers for which CST is applicable will have to submit C-form at the time of lifting of material; otherwise full sales tax will be charged.
