India: Gujarat to expand cement concrete roads to reduce monsoon damage
The Gujarat government has approved the phased construction of cement concrete (CC) roads across municipalities, municipal corporations and villages to reduce recurring monsoon-related road damage. The initiative is expected to improve road quality, lower long-term maintenance costs and support cement demand from public infrastructure projects, strengthening consumption across the state’s construction sector.
