Australian coking coal prices stable amid firm demand

The FOB price of Australian premium low-volatile (PLV) hard coking coal (HCC) continued to remain steady at $401/t on 13 Oct’21. However, the weaker coal grades such as PCI and semi-soft increased in prices due to the supply tightness caused by the strong thermal coal market in China. In the Chinese coking coal market, supply tightness and winter restocking demand continued to provide support for the rising CNF China prices.
