Australian mid-vol coking coal prices rise by $7/t on supply tightness

Australian mid-volatile coking coal prices increased by $6.50/t to $270/t FOB on 26 Nov’21 amidst prevailing weather-related supply disruptions in Australia. While traders do not have much stock left, a few miners are heard quoting premiums of up to $20/t on offer prices for Australian hard coking coal. Notably, mid-vol hard coking coal typically accounts for about 60% of Indian imports.
