Premium hard coking coal prices have fallen by $23/t d-o-d to $457/t FOB Australia. Prices are declining mainly because market participants have adopted a wait-and-watch approach awaiting the outcome of ArcelorMittal’s sell tender for 70,000 t of Australian premium low-volatile Peak Downs coking coal scheduled for today. The tender result is expected to impact the price trend in the near term.
