Australian low-volatile hard coking coal prices increased by $2/t on 15 Sep’21 to $354/t FOB on active trading in ex-China markets. A deal for 75,000 t of premium material was reported at $355/t FOB Australia for Nov’21 laycan. China’s domestic market saw a strong rally as ongoing safety and environmental inspections limited production, while demand remained robust on healthy steel margins.
