Australian premium hard coking coal prices increased by $2/t to $248/t FoB on 27 Aug’21 on active trading in the ex-China market at a time of limited spot supply. In the Chinese market, supply tightness and steady demand continued to drive prices higher. A major steel mill in northern China floated a buy tender on 26 Aug seeking seaborne premium coking coal with Sept’21 laycan.
