Australian premium low-volatile hard coking coal price surged by $7/t to $157.50/t FoB with two new spot deals concluded yesterday at higher levels. Buyers’ concerns over severe weather conditions coupled with competitively priced Australian cargoes relative to Atlantic coals of similar grades are presently supporting the upward price movement.
