In a confirmed deal, 5500 NAR Australian coal has been booked by a power producer at $58/t FoB Newcastle for shipment at Jaigarh port. Last week, trades for 5500 NAR grade coal were heard at $55/t, FoB (west coast). Australian coal prices are going up amid overall supply squeeze in the seaborne coal market and flurry of bulk inquiries coming from outside China.
