Australia: Rio Tinto resumes Pilbara iron ore shipments following cyclone disruptions

Rio Tinto has resumed iron ore port operations in Western Australia’s Pilbara region after Tropical Cyclone Narelle passed, with ship loading restarting at key terminals on 28 Mar’26. While repairs at Cape Lambert A are ongoing, operations are expected to fully normalise soon. Despite the disruption, Rio Tinto has maintained its 2026 shipment guidance of 323-338 mnt.
