Australia: Port Hedland sees iron ore shipments dropping 4% m-o-m in Aug’25; Dampier records uptick

Port Dampier recorded iron ore shipment of 13.85 mnt in Aug’25, up 13% as against 12.23 mnt in Jul, as per Pilbara Port Authority.
However, iron ore shipment from Port Hedland fell by 4% m-o-m to 44.32 mnt in Aug as compared to 45.97 mnt in the previous month.
Hedland shipments fell on maintenance and soft demand unlike Dampier which benefitted from smoother operations and mixed cargo gains.
