Australia-based steelmaking coal miner, Pembroke Resources, has began construction and infrastructure development at the Olive Downs coking coal project located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. The mine has an annual capacity of 15 mnt. Pembroke Resources will use the DBCT terminal for coal exports. The port exported 54 mnt of coking coal in 2021, about 12% of Australia’s total exports.
