Around 40,000 t of Australian PCI coal from the South Walker mine was sold at an all-time high price of $645/t FOB Haypoint, as per latest reports. The buyer was a European steel mill, sources confirmed. The South Walker Creek coal mine is a part of BMC (BHP Mitsui Coal), an 80:20 joint venture between BHP and Mitsui and Co.
