Australia: New Castle Port Shipment up by 17% W-o-W (as on 22 July)

New castle port has reported that their last week (upto 22nd July'13) shipment has increased by 17% incomparision to preceding week's (upto 15th July ) report.This week (up 22nd July) port has shipped around 3.4 MnT of coal.

In this month till 22nd July, Newcastle port exported around 9.4 MnT of coal including coking and thermal coal. Port authorities are targeting this month to ship total 12.8 MnT. Whereas, as per port authority actual shipped for this month plus projected balance from coal terminal would ship around 13.3 MnT of coal,which is more than 4.2% from the ports initial projection.

Port has also reported that during last week 36 vessels entered at port for loading with average waiting time of 4.02 days, Whereas, just preceeding week 32 vessels entered at port with average waiting time of 3.36 days. 

As on 22nd July port had 7 vessels loading coal at port, 16 vessels were waiting to load and 48 vessels were expected to reach at port.
