Australia: Iron ore exports from Port Hedland increase 25% in Mar ’21

Port of Port Hedland has achieved a monthly throughput of 47.4 mn t in Mar ’21, increasing by 11% m-o-m compared to Feb ’21. Out of this, iron ore exports were at 46.7 mn t, up by 25% m-o-m against 37.4 mn t in the previous month. The Pilbara Port Authority has three main ports – Port Ashburton, Port of Dampier and Port of Port Hedland. With lesser disruption from seasonal factors seen in Mar ’21, exports witnessed an increase.
