Australia is the world’s largest Iron Ore exporter according to the provisional data maintained with SteelMint. Australia’s export has increased by 6% M-o-M to 74.8 MnT in Sept 17 compared to 70.4 MnT in Aug’17 then.
Country wise Export for Sept 17– China was the largest importer from Australia with 84% share. It was up 6% M-o-M to 62.9 MnT in Sept 17 compared to 59.5 in Aug’17 MnT then. Followed by Japan with 8% iron ore share from Australia up 32% M-o-M to 5.72 MnT in Sept.’17, against 4.92 MnT in Aug’17, Korea (4.15 MnT), Taiwan (1.73 )MnT and Indonesia (0.27MnT).

Port Wise Export for Sept’17– Hedland was largest exporter port 58% share .It was up 1% M-o-M to 43.38 MnT in Sept’17 against 42.77 MnT iron ore in Aug’17. Followed by Walcott has 22% share of iron ore export up 16% M-o-M to 16.59 MnT in Sept’17 compared to 14.27 MnT in Aug’17.
