Heavy rainfall in Australia’s New South Wales has resulted in a sharp 29% decline in the country’s weekly exports to 3.2 mnt during 10-16 July, the lowest in 29 weeks, CoalMint data showed. Shipments from Newcastle Port fell by 86% w-o-w to 0.2 mnt in this period while those from Gladstone Port rose slightly by 3% as heavy rainfall subsided. Coal deliveries from the Newcastle Port have resumed this week.
