The Moura rail system in central Queensland, Australia was closed following a derailment on 30 Oct’21. The rail line transports 15 mn t/year of coal from mines in the area to Gladstone port. The site of the derailment is challenging because of the terrain and work on recovering the rolling stock is underway, according to Central Queensland Coal Network operator Aurizon.
