Australian premium hard coking coal prices fell by $4.5/t d-o-d to $315/t FOB on 6 Feb’24 amid low buying interest. Exporters are currently experiencing production and vessel delays for several coal-producing mines due to the lasting impact of cyclone Kirrily. This decline in prices is attributed to most Indian end-users currently favouring US coking coal over Australian ones because of the delays.
