Australia: Coking Coal Exports Rise 2.53% in Aug’17 M-o-M

Coking Coal exports from Australia increased 2.53% in Aug’17 as compared to that in July’17, data compiled by CoalMint Research from the vessel line-ups shows.

During Aug’17, 18.61 MnT of Coking Coal was exported from Australia against 18.15 MnT in the previous month.

The higher imports during the month were a consequence of steel plants in China, India and Japan running high rates; necessitating proportionate imports. The robust imports had triggered remarkable upward traversals in the coal price in Australia.
