Australia: Cape vessels with 5500 NAR coal booked at around $190/t FOB

In a confirmed deal, two capesizes carrying Australian 5500 kcal/kg NAR coal were booked at $191.5/t and a panamax was booked at $202/t FOB Newcastle. After the sharp rise in steam coal prices in March, Australian 5500 NAR prices have eased by 14% m-o-m in May, as per CoalMint assessment.
