Australian 6000 kcal/kg NAR grade coal prices fell over 15% m-o-m to $373/t FOB Newcastle as global coal prices eased with weakening European demand. Mild weather conditions and over-than-expected inventory built-up for the winter season has compelled European buyers to slow down on coal procurement. A sharp fall in prices, however, was limited amid weak Australian coal output following adverse weather conditions this year.
