ASEAN steel demand is expected to increase by 3.5% y-o-y to 75.9 mnt for CY’24, as per the short range outlook released by World Steel Association (WSA). Furthermore, the demand is expected to rise by 4.3% y-o-y for CY’25. However, long-term growth could be restrained by mounting challenges within the region, including political instability and a decline in competitiveness.
