Steel consumption by ASEAN-6 countries in the second quarter CY’20 witnessed significant drop year on year due to the impact of pandemic, South East Asia Iron and Steel Institute (SEAISI) reported. As per SEAISI figures, Vietnam was the only ASEAN-6 nation that has registered positive growth in construction and manufacturing sector followed by Thailand that recorded 7.4% growth in construction sector during Q2.
