Anthracite Coal offers have undergone no change from the week-ago rates despite declining Coking Coal prices.
As learnt from market sources, Russian suppliers are yet to announce the latest offers. Anthracite Coal offers have remained at USD 140/MT CFR India, the rate assessed the week last.

Demand for the coal has remained sluggish in India as there was almost no affinity among Indian buyers for the coal.
IMPORTS
There was no spurt in Anthracite Coal imports into India due to the weak demand in the country. According to data compiled by CoalMint Research, a meager quantity of 124,650 MT of the coal was imported into the country during the 1-26Apr’17 period.
