There has been no improvement to the sluggish demand in the Anthracite Coal market in India.
The global offers have remained flat at the previous rates. The latest Anthracite Coal offer is assessed unchanged at around USD 130/MT CFR India.

Demand has remained lackluster in the country owing to the buyers in the country preferring other forms of coal.
IMPORTS
There were very meager imports of the coal in the country due to the sluggish demand. According to the data collected by CoalMint Research, only 47,300 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported in India during the 1-16 Aug’17 period.
The only importers were: KIOCL Limited and Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited.
