Anthracite Coal Offers Drop USD 10/MT, Imports in India Plunge 18% in Apr’17 M-o-M

Anthracite Coal offers have declined due to the falling prices of Coking Coal.

The latest Anthracite Coal offers are assessed at around USD 130/MT CFR India, lowered by USD 10/MT in comparison with the rates assessed a week-ago. The offers have moved down following the steady decline in Coking Coal prices in international markets.

Demand for the coal has remained sluggish in India as buyers preferred alternate fuels. Moreover, there is no prospect for any upturn in the country’s market in the future.

IMPORTS
