Anthracite coal market continues to remain lackluster in India.
Prices, as a result, have not undergone any upward movement.
According to a trader in east India, market prices have fallen to around INR 6,000/MT as a result of weak demand. Import offers also have remained at around USD 87/MT CFR India.
As a result of weak demand, imports have fallen considerably. SteelMint data shows that during Oct’15, imports were recorded at 85,000 MT, which is the lowest in the 1st seven months of the current fiscal.
