Anthracite coal import offers have undergone marginal upward drifts, of around USD 1/MT, as prices of coal and Petcoke exhibited rising trends recently.
The latest Anthracite coal import offers were assessed marginally higher, at USD 96/MT CFR India.
On the other side, the marginal rise in the import offers will mean almost nothing to Indian buyers, who have preferred cheaper alternate fuels, like Petcoke and other forms of coal, over Anthracite coal.
The market in the country continues to remain sluggish.
