Anthracite Coal Import Offers Go Down USD 10/MT on Shrinking International Demand

Anthracite Coal import offers have fallen from the rates in the week last due to prevalence of lower demand in international regions.

The latest import offer for Anthracite Coal (0-10mm) is assessed lower at around USD 110/MT CFR India.

In India, demand has continued to remain sluggish, with no prospect for any improvement in the future.

Besides, the latest import of Anthracite Coal, of 20-80 mm size, is heard to be at around USD 245/MT CFR India.

IMPORTS

Barring very few consignments, there was no Anthracite Coal import in the recent past. During the 1-27 Jan’17, only 80,340 MT of the coal was imported into India, data collected by CoalMint Research shows.
