Anthracite Coal Global Offers Stay at Highs on Higher Coking Coal Prices

There was no fall in Anthracite Coal prices as Coking Coal prices had remained high. Prices of both the coal are co-related as the former could be blended with the latter during the coke formation process in steel production.

The high prices of the coal will not impact Indian buyers, who are almost without any affinity for importing the coal as they preferred alternate fuels. Demand for Anthracite Coal in India has remained lackluster; and there is also no prospect for the demand to undergo any improvement in the future in the country.

The latest Anthracite Coal international offers are assessed at around USD 145/MT CFR India, up by around USD 10/MT over the week-ago offers.
