There is no change in the Anthracite Coal international offers, but supply is tighter now. Heavy snowfall and extreme cold have impaired mining activities Russia, the prime Anthracite Coal supplying nation in the world. At the same time, logistics are also being affected by snow and cold in the nation—restricting exports.
However, the international Anthracite Coal offers have not changed but have remained unchanged over the week-ago offers. The latest Anthracite Coal offers are assessed at around USD 145/MT, unchanged from the week-ago offers.

However, there has been no improvement in the demand for the coal in India. Preference for alternate fuels among the buyers in India has rendered the market for Anthracite Coal in the country as sluggish; and there is also no prospect for any upturn in the demand in the country in the future.
On account of the lackluster demand in India, imports in the country have been insignificant. In Jan’18, a meager volume of 115,500 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported in the country, according to the data compiled by CoalMint Research.
