The Anthracite Coal market in India has witnessed a slight improvement in demand during this month. Some buyers during the current month have imported the coal.
On the pricing front, the offers for the coal underwent no change, remaining flat. As prices of Breeze Coke were higher, there was no downturn in the prices of Anthracite Coal. As a matter of fact, prices of Breeze Coke and Anthracite Coal are co-related as both could be used as a substitute for the other.
The latest offer for Anthracite Coal was assessed at around USD 135/MT FoB, which was unchanged from the offer in the week last. The offer translates into around USD 147/MT on CFR India basis.

According to the data compiled by CoalMint Research, around 195,409 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported in India during the 1-18 Apr’18 period.
