Anglo American’s steel-making coal production increased by 2% to 4.75 mnt in Q4CY’23 as against 4.65 mnt in Q4CY’22, propelled by Aquila and Grosvenor’s performance. However, challenges encountered at Moranbah resulted in a decrease in sales to 3.8 mnt, down from production levels. The production ratio of hard coking coal to PCI/semi-soft coking coal remained steady at 78:22. Production guidance for CY’24 remains at 15-17 mnt.
