India: Melting scrap prices inch down by INR 100/t d-o-d in Alang

Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched down by INR 100/t d-o-d to INR 35,500/t ($374/t) ex-yard on 1 Jun’26, as per BigMint’s assessment. Semi-finished and finished steel prices witnessed a mild decline in the previous trading session in the region. Additionally, average scrap trading activity prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
