India: Melting scrap prices fall by INR 400/t d-o-d in Alang

Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 400/t d-o-d to INR 35,100/t ($369/t) ex-yard on 2 Jun’26, according to BigMint’s assessment. The decline was driven by softer semi-finished and finished steel prices in the previous trading session, coupled with average scrap trading activity, which led suppliers to reduce their offers.
