Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, held steady d-o-d for the third straight day on 18 Jun’25, with HMS (80:20) assessed at INR 32,500/t ($376/t) ex-yard by BigMint. Although there was a dip in semi-finished steel prices in the previous session and finished steel tags remained flat, moderate scrap buying by Bhavnagar-based IF mills helped keep offers firm.
