Coal cargo loading at the Abbot Point Coal Terminal has been suspended with effect from 28 July’17 due to the occurrence of a fire outbreak incident.
Although, there was no causality reported but damages to the dumping station occurred.
Resumption of rail services is expected by 3 Aug’17, and ship loading by 4 Aug’17. The immediate ship scheduling will be delayed.
There were 8 vessels at anchorage at the port terminal before the incident.
