The state of affairs at the Abbot Point Coal Terminal in Australia has undergone some improvement of late.
Movement of a train has resumed after the closure on 28 Mar’17, due to the Debbie cyclone. Operations of the coal terminal are expected to resume fully by 20 Apr’17.
The development at the port is indicative of the likelihood of Coking Coal prices to stop escalating further.
Spot prices of the Premium HCC have risen to USD 302/MT FoB Australia on account of the supply disruption caused by the damages to the rail lines in the Queensland region by the recent cyclone.
