Lower availability of pig iron in the market due to the recent production cuts restricted prices from falling down. Primary steel makers such as SAIL & few other private steel plants preferred to keep their prices unchanged & offered at the previous trade price seen last week.
Major Pig Iron producer in Raipur, Jaiswal Nico quoted its price at Rs. 27,000/MT with a quantity discount of Rs. 200. While, other plants in Cuttack & Vizag namely MSP and VSP kept their offers unchanged at Rs 25,100/MT and Rs. 25,000/MT respectively due to limited bookings.
Mesco in Jajpur too kept its offer for the foundry grade same as Rs.24,400/MT
