As per recent released data by Thailand customs it is observed that the nation has imported about 170,000 MT Billet in August 2017.
The imports have sharply gain of more than 100% M-o-M in Aug’17 against 70,000 MT in Jul’17. During Aug’17, Iran has exported approximately more than 50% (90,000 MT) of Billet to Thailand.
While, on Y-o-Y in August 2017 imports registered a gain of 21.42% against 140,000 MT in August 2016.
Coming to total imports in Jan-Aug’17, the nation has imported about 1.32 MnT Billet; down by 57.28% as compared to 3.09 MnT in the same preceding last year.
In the duration of Jan-Aug’17 – Iran, Japan & Brazil was the major Billet exporter to Thailand which exported about 0.51 MnT (38.31%), 0.22 MnT (16.46%) & 0.11 MnT (8.19%), respectively.
Presently, the export offers of Billet are assessed at USD 490-510/MT FoB India, USD 500-505/MT FoB China & from Iran is around USD 500-505/MT, FoB Iran.
