>>The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China has warned the coal miners in that country to abstain from temporarily closing down their mines in order to avoid inspections. The warning has been issued to stabilize the coal prices, amid environmental and safety checks. At the same time, NDRC also said that the railway and shipping companies must make coal transport a priority to power plants situated at the north eastern region of the country where stockpiles are low.
>> In Indonesia, coal miners are worried over that government’s decision to revise the pricing rules for domestic coal prices. That government is considering drafting new rules for pricing domestic coal in order to lower the electricity prices.
