According to the latest customs data, Turkey flat steel imports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates), 7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets), 7210/7212(GP/GC) saw the surge of 23% on monthly basis in Jul’17.In Jul’17 nation has imported 0.8 MnT in contrast with 0.65 MnT of flat steel in Jun’17.
On yearly basis Turkey flat steel imports rose substantially by 33% in Jul’17 when compared with 0.6 MnT in Jul’16.
However during the tenure of Jan-Jul’17,country’s flat steel import decreased by 10% to 4.39 MnT against 4.87 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

Russia exported 0.30 MnT flat steel to Turkey in Jul’17-Russia was the major flat steel exporter to Turkey and has exported 0.30 MnT of flat steel in Jul’17.It accounted for 43.1% of share of imports from Jan-Jul’17.Other major flat steel exporting countries to Turkey include Ukraine,France and South Korea.
Turkey Finish Flat Exports increases two times in Jul’17-Turkey finish flat exports surged two times in Jul’17 to 33 MnT scaled up by 114% against 15.4 MnT in Jul’16.Out of which HRC accounts for 19.6 MnT of export volumes in Jul’17.
