According to the latest customs data released, Japan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates), 7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets), 7210/7212(GP/GC) have reported the downfall of 7% M-o-M basis to 1.98 MnT in Jul’17 against 2.13 MnT in Jun’17 .
However if yearly comparison is been made nation’s flat steel exports showed the significant downfall of of 20% in Jul’17 against Jul’16. Nation has exported 2.46 MnT of flat steel in Jul’16.
In the tenure of first seven months (Jan-Jul) of 2017,Japan flat steel exports moved down by 9% to 14.84 MnT as compared to 16.34 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

Country-Wise Japan Flat Steel Exports in Jul’17-China was the major flat steel importer from Japan and accounted for 16.50% of share in Jul’17. Other major flat steel importing countries from Japan include Thailand,South Korea followed by Mexico and Vietnam.
