According to the latest customs data, South Korea flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212 (GP/GC) have witness rise of 8% M-o-M basis in Jul’17 to 1.96 MnT compared to 1.82 MnT in Jun’17.
However on yearly basis South Korean flat steel exports have increased by 4% in Jul’17 against 1.89 MnT in May’17.
In first seven months of CY17 (Jan-Jul) country’s flat steel exports rose by 2% to 13.17 MnT against 12.94 MnT in similar time-frame last year.

Country-wise South Korea Flat Steel Exports in Jul’17-China remained the major flat steel importer of South Korea flat steel and accounted for 15.50% of share in Jul’17.Other major countries include Japan,India followed by Mexico and Thailand.
