As per recently released Canadian customs, the nation has exported 0.43 MnT ferrous scrap in Jun’17. The exports volumes have lowered marginally by 4 % M-o-M compared with 0.45 MnT ferrous scrap exports shipped in May’17.
Canada – one of the major ferrous scrap exporters has exported 2.06 MnT ferrous scrap during the first half of CY17, up 36% Y-o-Y against 1.52 MnT exports during H1 in CY16 . The country had exported total 3.37 MnT ferrous scrap over a span of CY16.
On yearly premises, the export volumes have moved up substantially by 65.38 % against 0.26 MnT exports in Jun’16.
USA remained the preferred destination for Canadian ferrous scrap exports:
USA remained the preferred importer for Canadian ferrous scrap exports and it has imported 0.30 MnT scrap in Jun’17.Turkey remained 2nd largest importer of Canada ferrous scrap and has imported 0.11 MnT in Jun’17.
Other major importers remain silent in the considered month and only a few trade activities were registered.
During the first half of CY17, United States lifted highest quantity of 1.56 MnT ferrous scrap comprising almost 76 % of total Canadian ferrous scrap exports followed by Turkey (0.26 MnT) and Mexico (0.09 MnT) respectively.
Taiwan, India and Bangladesh each have imported 0.03 MnT ferrous scrap so far in CY17 from Canada.
